Wink at Rusty's

It's good to see Leon Walker still willing to try new ideas with a Wink Restaurant & Catering stall at Rusty's today. There was small range of their own products including the Wink 'house dressing' made to a secrte recipe apparently! KS grabbed some to try along with a satchet of smoked eggplant and mustard seed relish.

Always an enthusiast for streetfood KS walked away with a couple of their small Jamaican pies for brekkie ....... tasty but more expensive than the nearby Gavinda's samosas .......

The 'Best of Rusty's' produce this week: The heavy-as-a-rock Cooktown passionfruit at one of the Sheridan St stalls!

I love Wink. It's a fantastic restaurant although I don't get there very often because it's not really child friendly (not many good restaurants are) and babysitters are scarce. I will definitely pop into Rusty's over the weekend though, this way I can take some 'Wink' home and not have to worry about who is going to look after the kids!!

By the way Leigh, 'Wink' is on the move and will be relocating to the Mantra where Salted Vue was previously. The current site will become 'The Kitchen' apparently intended to be simpler and more downmarket than Wink, so that may be a more child friendly option!?

BAD idea, no restaurant has been very successful where salted vue used to be??
